Always...Pucker Up... 4 Kisses

Second post this evening... "busy bee" I am!! The Cat's Pajamas has a weekly challenge... sometimes colors, sometimes a sketch, sometimes and inspiration pic. This is for TCP142 which was a color challenge... black, yellow, red, kraft. Used some of my fav dp... Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 and the TCP Love Notes stamps and ticket die. Seriously in love. Added some stitching, buttons with divine twine, and a BIG ole' bow.

TFL!!

Ingredients
Stamps: TCP Love Notes
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934, vanilla
 Ink:  memento tuxedo black

Tu-Tu Cute

Ballet Millie is the cutest little mouse you ever saw!! With her nose to the sun and arms spread wide... she just looks HAPPY!! She makes me smile. For the MFT weekly sketch challenge. Stamped Millie in memento tuxedo black and colored with copics. Every ballerina needs some bling so, I added glitter to her skirt and bow. Used MFT's doiley die {seriously, love this}, MFT ribbon, and a cluster of pearls and crystals on wire.

Here she is...

TFL!! It's gotten a little colder today... in the 40's... hard to believe it was almost 60 yesterday. Crazy weather!!

Ingredients
Stamps: MFT Ballet Millie
Paper: vanilla, coral, dp
Ink: memento tuxedo black, copics

Love...

It's almost the month of LOVE... well, we should have love in our hearts at all times... even when the dog is chewing up your favorite slippers or someone is eating that last piece of chocolate!! LOL!! Digressing a little here. This card uses one of my fav color combos {if you've been here before, you know!} Kraft, cherry cobbler, black, and vanilla!!! Pretty straightforward... used a Jenni Bowlin card and MFT's Clearly Sentimental About Love {if you haven't checked out this series of stamps, you should, great sentiments!} and a few mini rolled roses with pearls.

Card is for the MFT Guest Designer Challenge this month... a recipe for Love. One patterened paper, 2 colors of cardstock with a neutral {white/cream doesn't count-thank goodness} and three types of embellishements. Now, you may be saying to yourself... counting embellishements "technically" that I have too many... well, this is the way I "see" it. Pearls in mini rolled roses don't count as those roses HAD to have a center, and the black paper came stitched, hehehe!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

TFL!! Gorgeous weather here today. Sun shining, 60 degrees, and top down on the convertible!! Who could ask for anything more!!

Ingredients
Stamps: My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental About Love
Paper: kraft, cherry cobbler, black, vanilla, dp from SU Love Letters
Ink: memento tuxedo black
Accessories: rolled roses with pearl centers, Jenni Bowlin card, SU cherry cobbler seam binding, MFT Framed Greetings die and stamp set

Baby Dare...

Verve is having a monthly challenge on their blog. This month's theme is Baby Dare. Laid this card out last week and finally had a chance to "put it together". Used some new Verve stamps from the latest release {on sale through the end of January}. I used the Smallest Things plain jane and To the Moon on my card.

Arent' those animals adorable???!!! And how true is the sentiment when it comes to little ones!! PP is OA Ducks in a Row.

TFL!! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend. The sun is shining here and it's beautiful.

Ingredients
Stamps: Verve Smallest Things Plain Jane and To the Moon
Paper: OA Ducks in a Row, kraft, vanilla
Ink: memento tuxedo black, copics
Accessories: olive twill ribbon {retired SU}, lacey circle nesties, crochet trim with buttons

I Did it!!!

I made a card using Stacey's colors at the Curtain Call Color Challenge. Now, this girl does some wonderful color combos and the pic with mittens {you will see shortly} are adorable. But, these colors to me were just like Marissa's {my blogging friend} aversion to tilted panels!! LOL!!  Love reds but, normally use them with black/kraft, loves pinks but, normally use them with greens/grays, and lavender well, purple I don't do so well. Stacey's colors were bravo burgandy, cherry cobbler, lavendar lace, and pretty in pink. WOW... did this give me "brain freeze"!! I chose to embrace those colors and try to find a way to make them work.

Went totally CAS with this. Used a gorgeous flower and sentiment from Verve's Dream Big set. Stamped the flower in Stacey's colors and added a sentiment on a nestie. The nestie was stamped first with an image from Waltzingmouse Stamps Holiday Labels No. 14-- WMS has lots of images that are nestie compatible and I don't use the ones I have enough!! Added some nailheads I received free from a PizzazzaPlenty order and sewed and scrunched some ribbon.

Phew.... I managed to do it!!

TFL!! I am telling myself... it's good to stretch and try something new!!

Ingredients
Stamps: Verve Dream Big
Paper: bravo burgandy, vanilla
Ink: cherry cobbler, lavendar lace, pretty in pink
Accessories: burgandy ribbon, nailheads, silver pearls

My Heart Belongs To...

Haley... she's my youngest {18 but, still my youngest}!! Thinking of her today... she has worked so hard to find a job and finally got one. Today was orientation and Haley has strep throat.... needless to say, no orientation. Next orientation is in a week.... to her that is a long time since she has been so "pumped up" about starting!!

Last card for the weekly Verve sketch challenges on SCS here. Each Friday one of the Verve Divas posts a sketch, make a card using the sketch and post on SCS for a chance to win the next release. Sketches are fun but, whoa.... winning a release.... fun stuff!!!!! This week Sankiri gave us the sketch. Used my newest dp love of MM Je t'adore papers and kraft. The sentiment was stamped on a lacey circle nestie, added some SU crystal effects with glitter for the heart and popped on top of another lacey nestie. Added pearls from Pizzazzaplenty... lots of choices and excellent prices. Used MFT border die-namic, a Prima flower, and some crumbcake seam binding from SU. Sponged the edges with crumbcake ink.

Here's the card...

Splish...Splash...

I was takin a bath...long about a Saturday night.... got a little carried away there, didn't I.  Actually used a MFT PI image called Splish Splash --- playing in puddles!! Now, tell me what child {and adult} doesn't like to play in puddles! For the MFT weekly stamp club challenge. Stamped the image and paper pieced, added some hand stitching {still getting acquainted with my sewing machine... okay, it is HARD for me to use the wheel and do one stitch at a time!!!!!} Colored a little with copics, added some MFT twill and a sun MFT die-namic.

The card....

TFL!!! And... play in puddles when you can, it keeps you young!!

Hugs!!

One of my fav color combos is kraft, red {in this case, cherry cobbler and it's better than red, honestly!!}, black, vanilla/white. So, I had fun with this card and I was playing with some new stamps... to boot!! For Verve's week 3 challenge... Tosh's sketch and my card....

Used some of Verve's newest stamps/dies-- Text Objects is becoming an obsession of mine... the sentiment stamped on kraft... "Brief is life but love is long. Alfred Lord Tenyson.. Have a heart that never hardens and a temper that never tires and a touch that never hurts.. Charles Dickens..." LOVE IT!! Reminds me of what I need to be. Heart is from Love Notes and used the heart die, the image on the sweet scallop die is from Sweet Treats and the sentiment "Hugs" is from Love Notes.

TFL!!

Be Mine!!

Week 2 of the Verve weekly sketch challenges is a sketch from Charmaine. I used this Yummy paper from MM called Je t'adore-- love the pinks with a hint of green, ohh.. and flowery!! Stamped the hearts from Verve's Text Objects dp and kraft, cut out, added a few little rhinestones to the corner. Purchased a new Janome sew mini {3rd sewing machine this year, don't ask!!} No, honestly it wasn't all my fault- just maybe, the second mishap!!!! Added a little stitching in kraft, distressed the edges of the back two panels, stamped the Be Mine from Verve's "Hearts on Fire" to a Maya Road journaling ticket {have had these for a while and recently, after seeing some tickets used, I remembered I had them--don't tell me you don't have things in your stash that you don't remember-- I know it's not true!! LOL} Lastly, I added a bow made with crinkled seam binding, crochet lace, and pearl strings along with a couple Maya Road stickpins and a Websters Pages button in the middle.

When I went back and looked at the pics... first thought was the bow combo looked like "tarantula" legs??? IRL it's pretty.

Here's the card

TFL!! Love when you stop by and leave comments-- appreciate your kinds words-- even if you tell me you thought of spider legs too!!!!

Ingredients
Stamps: Verve's Text Objects and Hearts on Fire
Paper: MM Je t'adore, old olive, crumbcake

Have a Cuppa!!

The Cat's Pajamas has a weekly challenge. This week is an inspiration pic of a hat from Little MissMatched!! If you've never been, you need to check it out. My sisters and I have been buying for several years {not as much variety when we started as there is now} and started with the socks. You get three socks in bold bright colors that don't match except "kinda"!! These have been stocking gifts for years... kinda quirky my family!!

Here's the hat... isn't it adorable??!!

Here's my card...

You can see the stripes and colors influenced me a little, LOL!! Used TCP's PJ "Have a Cuppa' and colored with copics. Added the apron border die on the top and bottom and used my fingers to "lift" it a little from the paper to add dimension. Paper pieced the apron, added divine twine {love this stuff}, lace, ribbon, and a button.

TFL!! Hope you enjoy looking as much as I enjoyed playing!!!

Ingredients
Stamps: The Cats Pajamas PJ Have A Cuppa
Paper: OA dp, tempting turqoise, white, black, yellow
Ink: memento tuxedo black, copics
Accessories: nesties oval and scalloped oval, SU circle punches, ribbon, lace, divine twine, buttom, TCP apron border die, Jody's sticky stuff

With Sympathy

Have a couple friends that needed sympathy cards so I combined this one with Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge - CCCC64 to use cherry cobbler, pacific point, marina mist, always artichoke and whisper white. I adore these colors together!!! {may have to make another card since I am early this week} We've had snow and ice here in the south and it has slowed things down a bit. I grew up just a little south of Chicago so, I understand snow and ice but, since we don't have it often here- no big investments in ice/slag to keep all the roads clear.

The marina mist is stamped with pacific point using Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds. Monika Davis at MAD Stamper made a card this week where she did this and I loved it together so I cased that idea. Added cherry cobbler for a background panel accent ... cherry cobbler is a gorgeous color!! Sewed a little on seam binding ribbon and added lace. Artichoke leaves, a prima flower with crystals, and a big old bow finished it off.

TFL!! Love when you stop by and appreciate all your kind words!!

Ingredients
Stamps: Verve Bountiful Backgrounds and Kind Words
Paper: marina mist, cherry cobbler, whisper white, always artichoke
Ink: black, pacific poing

Congratulations!!

MFT Al la Mode--It Must Be Love!! My oldest daughter and I are in the "throes" of planning her wedding, fun and challenging and busy!! When I saw this set, I wanted to make her a card. Well, I finished it yesterday and took some pics {which was a good thing because when she came by for supper last night and saw it- she scarfed it right up!!}. Image was stamped in memento tuxedo black onto a nesties and colored with copics. May have gotten a little carried away with the glass glitter on the diamond but, she does like "shiny" things!!
The layout is for this week's MFT wednesday sketch challenge which you can check out here on SCS.

Marissa...Thinking of You!!

Now, Marissa knows I am not being creepy!! She is a blogging friend of mine who just so happened to be the Featured Stamper this week on SCS. Finally got my card done, based on this card of hers. I changed the colors, nestie, and sentiment but, kept the layout and layered ribbon. I am NEW to the featured stamper and when I reviewed I discovered that I shouldn't use a sketch card of hers as it is really a case of the sketch. Good intentions, though!!!

My card:

TFL!! Love when you stop by and appreciate all the kind words!!

Ingredients
Stamps: Verve Kind Words
Paper: black, crumbcake, BoBunny Mama Razzi {even thought of Marissa with this as some folks call her Mama Rissi?}
Ink: memento tuxedo black
Accessories: nesties, SU ribbon, rhinestones

Thoughts!!

MOJO Monday sketch and Stacey's colors. Struggled a little... love these colors and started out with this Basic Gray Capella dp which is gorgeous. It had the blue, chocolate, and artichoke--- then, how to incorporate the cajun craze. Tried several different combos and finally gave up... KWIM??? Flowers are the smallest from Verve's Great Friends and the flower in Amazing Wishes--- Julee always creates sets that mix and match... how wonderful is that!! Sentiment is from  Amazing Wishes also. Have some friends that needed some sympathy cards and this will work.

Here's the colors:

Here's my card....

Honestly, have been trying to load ".gif" files {the sketch is a gif file} and my blogger won't allow, although it says I can... must be doing something wrong... any tips???

Thanks for looking. Love and appreciate when you stop by!!

Love!!

Worked on this card last weekend when I was having computer problems and based the sketch off of Teresa Kline's card, guessing at what the sketch looked like. Now, I LOVED Teresa's card and I adjusted the sketch a little- we both took a "little" liberty with the sketch!!! Or, I should say, Teresa had fun with the sketch to her liking and then, I did too!!

Hearts and sentiment are from Verve's last release, Text Objects, I absolutely adore this set and haven't had a chance to play with it as much as I would like. Paper is Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket {in love with this too!!}. The circle was stamped with an image from Waltzingmouse Stamps Circular Sayings which are nestie compatible. Added buttons from my stash and some divine twine from The Cats Pajamas.

TFL!!

No Small Miracles!!

When I was making this card, I was thinking of snowflakes and how they are all so different, intricate, and beautiful but, today.... I'm thinking-finally back online blogging!!! We bought an iPad for Xmas {yes, it is pretty nifty!!} but, somehow when the WiFi got hooked up to our wireless- it messed up my access to blogs. This card was made for a previous Cat's Pajamas challenge to use lavendar, aqua, and light blue. The image is from the latest release and she's adorable!! The image was stamped on a nestie and colored with copics. I took a copics class a while back and learned to color brown hair {actually did well in the class} but, it seems to be eluding me. Amber Hight at The Stamping Scrapbooker recently posted a tutorial on coloring hair so, I'm going to have to try her technique!!

I am lovin' the snowflake die from the Cats Pajamas, layered in three colors with SU punched flowers, button , and divine twine!! Stamped the scarf, colored with copics and popped on top. Added some divine twine linen thread for the fringe on the scarf and bow on the button. Used an older CB folder with snowflakes.

TFL!!

Ingredients
Stamps: TCP
Paper: Mitten Weather. SU lavendar, bashful blue, teal
Ink: memento tuxedo black, copics
