Hugs and Kisses!

Made a card using this fabulous tulip image from Serendipity Stamps. The colors were inspired by this week's Color Throwdown colors.

Stamped the tulip vase with crumbcake onto XPress It blending cardstock and colored with copics. Added crystal effects to the vase to make it shiny. The sentiment is from Serendipity stamps also- stamped onto a MFT tag die-namic. Added half a paper doily and ribbon. The tulip vase is popped on foam dots for dimension. Have several colors of blue here and the lighter pink does match the color story- thinking it photo'd darker or I edited darker!!

Here's the colors...

Wonderful!

HAVE NOT played with Waltzingmouse Stamps Camellia for a while and since it's summer {yeah, I know Camellias are a spring flower} I just wanted to stamp these gorgeous blooms!!

Used the CQC colors  and the current RetroSketch {sneaking in under the wire on this one}.  The embossing folder is Quikkutz and added a few enamel dots-yes, I had to have a few of these.

Colors....

Sketch....

Hope you're having a fabulous start to the WE.... I'm trying to get a little stampin' in- tomorrow is a boat day- we don't live on the lake {ah, if I was only rich!} so, we purchased this big ole' lounge thingy [holds 6} the plan is to drop anchor and relax!!

WPLus9- Fresh Cut Florals!

Oh. Mm. Gee. IN LOVE with Fresh Cut Florals {well the Ikat images too and cupcakes and milk bottles/straws.. check the link}  These stamps and dies arrived at my house a bit ago but, I was struggling with back issues- finally had a chance to ink them up.

I don't think I even used every image in this set and certainly limited my colors to 7. These images are 2 and 3 step stamping-- when I started adding the colors -  I squealed...seriously... the layers/images line up perfectly!! Tonite my fav are the little berries. Don't these flowers/leaves look fabulous layered over the Ikat border and oh, what a sweet sentiment.

Here's the Mood Board...

Gushing soo much I forgot to say the card was made based on the Monday Mood Board- link above.

Hope you have a great weekend- I'm stamping a little tonite and cruising on the boat/enjoying the sunshine tomorrow!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Serendipity Stamps

WOOT WOOT!! I have a little news today. I was invited to join the Serendipity Stamps design team!! Of course, I said YES and am very excited to work with some fabulous stamps alongside the other members of the talented DT!!

AND.... Serendipity hosts a challenge every two weeks....

Today is the day for the next challenge. SSBC #14 is all about Baskets.

The rules are simple... play along using at least one Serendipity Stamps image on your submission and link it below. You don't have to have a blog to play along - you can link your designs to any on line gallery.

Click Here for all the details

My card...

My focal image is Daisy Basket (small) but, there is a larger version also. I stamped the basket onto XPress It Blending cardstock, colored with copics (on the white petals I used a light W copic to give a little dimension and I shaded around the image with a light B copic- not sure this shows well in the picture). The image was cut with a circle nestabilitie and adhered to the die cut doily with foam for dimension. Did some stitching, added a bow with button/twine combo. Don't you just love the font on this sentiment! You can find it here.

Now, I have to say that I LOVE banner flags but, after I made this card I was just undecided if this was the right card for them (do you every do that?) and so, I tried something else.

Still not sure which I like better.

Here's a close up of the adorable Daisy Basket.

If you need a little extra inspiration there are samples from the design team on the challenge blog or you can visit them directly and get all the details by clicking on their names below.

Birthday Wishes!!

Oh... I have to say this is a fun but, sad post for me. Fun- 'cause it's a card for the Cloud 9 monthly blog challenge and sad 'cause this is the last one. I found this challenge through some other blogs I frequent and have only been playing for a few months but, I have ENJOYED all the inspiration pics that Suzanne provided and of course, a good excuse to get out my WPlus9 stamps!! Thanks Suzanne and all the DT for providing inspiration each month!!

For the last challenge 'Anything Goes"

I played with A Pocketful Stamps and dies. Have had these for awhile- yes, without seeing ink--- so, it was time!! How adorable are all those stars flying out of that pocket AND the detail on the pocket--Fabulous!!

Confession time- I have the stamps from Dawn's recent release and Lordy I need to find some time to play with them- they are fabulous too!! My other confession tonight - for some reason I knew the blog time was extended but, I thought it was until the 30th of June, I know- duh!! My brain is a little scrambled right now, that's my story!

aim high kid.....fly!!

Today is the 17th and that means..... it's a Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party!!

This month is all about summertime... I'm in!! Yep, I am definitely into spring/summer-- a flip flop, shorts, boats, lake, beach, flowers, homegrown veges {wishing for some IN tomatoes and corn}....you get the idea....kinda' girl!!

Love the Half Pint Heroines set and it hasn't seen ink at my house in a while so, that is what I chose to play with today. Stamped the balloon on 6 different patterned papers from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss (these colors make me smile!) and did a bunch of fussy cutting. Thinking I met my fussy cutting obligation for a while. Added some clouds colored with a light BG copic for contrast. Sentiments from the same set.

This would be a fun card for a new grad.

Deets on the blog waltz here....

Will be doing some blog hopping tomorrow... always inspiring fun to see what everyone has created!!

This is also for the Mixy Matchy challenge in the MFW (playing with patterns!)

Happy Thoughts!!

Perfect sentiment for me today!! Absolutely Happy Thoughts!! I am on the mend from my back problems and hopefully will not come back again. As the orthopedic physician said today- most women describe the back pain I have had as the equivalent to having a baby without pain medication-- I totally agreed except for one thing- you eventually have the baby- with this back pain the only option is muscle relaxants and pain meds!!

Enough gab- I'm squeaking this card in at the last minute as it is.

This card is for the week 1 Verve sketch using this week's Color Throwdown colors . Not sure why but, for some reason this sketch "threw me" a little- had a hard time with the circle element behind the rectangle panel. Anyway- The leaves and flowers are from Verve's Dream Big stamped in Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Blushing Bride. Leaves and flowers were die cut with Verve's Dreamy Leaves and Scallop Flowers dies. Sentiment is from Verve's Amazing Wishes and stamped on a Flag It Die from Verve.

Gotta go and work on another card for another deadline. Trying to catch up playing in my fav challenges.

Thanks for stopping by!! Love when you do and appreciate all the kind words!!

Squeezing in a card....

Think I'm close to the time limit for the Retro Sketch but, I LOVE 'em and dang it I just wanted to play a little. (I've been living on back meds and sleeping in a recliner for almost 2 weeks- geesh- this girl needed a break!!) Used the Color Q colors AND played with some new stamps..... doesn't get any better than that!!

Still working on the CAS "thing". Had fun with this big ole' cupcake and sentiment from Serendipity Stamps. Did some paper piecing and added stickles with SU glitter for the frosting... FUN stuff!! Added a couple banners and some MME dots.

Retro sketch...

Hope you're having a fabulous start to your WE!! Me,.. doing good so far... stamping tonight and hoping for a spin on the boat tomorrow!!

CTD245 and DJS104

Wow... it's been a while since I posted. Wish I could say it was due to a fabulous vacation but... unfortunately my back is trying to get the better of me!! Wowza, I've never had back problems {thank goodness} and I'm hoping this resolves itself soon!

Anyway... this is the first day in almost 2 weeks that I was able to climb the stairs to my little studio and make a card.... having withdrawal I tell ya'!!

Finally inked up a set that I received a while ago... MFT's LJD Peaceful Wildflowers and matching dies. The Color Throwdown colors this week (groovy guava, barely banana, melon mambo, kiwi kiss, and white) was the perfect match for flowers. Can you believe I still had my groovy guava and barely banana ink pads AND they were still juicy!! Used this week's Deconstructed Jen sketch for the layout.
